This shift represents a trend toward more intentional and individualised travel decisions.Wellness Takes Center StageWellness has emerged as a cornerstone of anyone’s luxury travel decision-making process. In 2025, 90 percent of travellers said that wellness experiences were a driving factor in their bookings, up from 80 percent the previous year. Away from conventional spa resort experiences, luxury travellers are tapping into a more holistic approach to wellness, exploring forest immersion, nutrition, sound, and sleep therapies. The region also remains one of the world’s top wellness travel destinations, with 67% of travellers planning to visit for wellness-related experiences.Increased Spending on Premium TravelWell-heeled travellers are approaching their travels with confidence and sophistication. An impressive 92 percent say being close to the great outdoors is a travel essential, indicating that people are craving immersive outdoor experiences.
