Other key markets in this region include South Korea, Japan, Australia, and India, all of which continue to show consistent interest in Laos as a tourist destination.From Europe, Russia leads the pack with 37,456 visitors, followed by France, the United Kingdom, and Germany, while the United States continues to lead the Americas with 41,973 visitors. In Africa and the Middle East, Israel recorded the highest number of visitors, with 4,639 tourists.Government’s Ambitious Tourism TargetsTo achieve its goal of 4.3 million international tourists in 2025, the Lao government is focused on improving infrastructure and services across the country. Plans include upgrading roads, restaurants, hotels, and markets to enhance accessibility and comfort for travelers.
