The latest addition to the emirate’s cultural tourism offerings hopes to highlight the UAE’s rich heritage with one of the largest and most important rock-art sites in the country. The museum will provide a peek into the past of Pangasinan with engraving and artifacts from the Neolithic period or even earlier.Scheduled to be launched in Q3 2026, the Kalba Rock Art Centre will cover some 3,574 square meters, set on a rocky hill overlooking Al Hefaiyah Park and the Kalba Waterfront. Upon completion, it will include over 400 engravings on 150 rock outcrops, among them images of animals from different eras in history, including the Neolithic, Bronze, and Iron Ages.A Collaborative Effort to Document and Preserve Rock ArtShurooq, in collaboration with the Sharjah Archaeology Authority, is working with local and international scientific institutions to preserve and document the rock art. The trailers will also provide private BBQ areas and a central restaurant to enhance the guest experience.Nomad will offer guests a chance to experience the natural beauty of Kalba through activities like birdwatching, outdoor yoga, and stargazing, all while reflecting the local culture and natural heritage.
