The busiest days will be Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (June 11-13), along with Monday, June 16.Over 75,000 festival-goers are expected to begin arriving on Wednesday, in time for the opening of the campsites at 12 noon, ahead of the three-day event. The festival, which will feature headliners Green Day, Sleep Token, and Korn, will see heavy traffic again on Monday as attendees begin to depart.Contingency road closures have been planned but will only be enforced if needed. These closures include:Donington Bypass, Park LaneA453, Grimes GateA453, The GreenMelbourne Lane, Slade LaneMelbourne Lane, Forty Foot LaneCockshut Lane, Derby RoadMain Street, Packhorse RoadMain Street, Main StreetA453, Gelscoe LaneAdditionally, temporary speed limits will be enforced around the event site:30 mph zone on Melbourne Road from Slade Lane to Walton Hill, covering 1.03 km40 mph zone on Melbourne Road from Slade Lane to RIP gate 2, covering 809 m40 mph zone on Hill Top Road from the A453 to the roundabout, covering 1.4 km40 mph zone on the A453, starting 100 m east of the DHL roundabout, covering 600 mOn Sunday, June 15, a temporary one-way traffic system will be introduced, beginning at the intersection of Slade Lane and Melbourne Lane. This one-way route will extend from that junction to the A453, where all vehicles will be directed to turn right and proceed toward the A453 junction with Moor Lane, continuing in the direction of the A42.For drivers approaching from the A42 who intend to use the affected road, a designated diversion will be in place. This alternate route will direct traffic to turn left and continue until reaching the junction with Main Street. At this point, signage will also assist any vehicles heading eastbound that need access to the affected road.From Main Street, diverted traffic will be guided north until reaching the junction with Short Hill. Drivers will then be instructed to turn right, followed by a left turn onto Slade Lane. The route will continue along the full length of Slade Lane until it reconnects with Melbourne Lane, where the diversion will conclude.Residents living locally and planning to attend the festival will be provided with a free shuttle bus service to make their journey more convenient. This service is designed to ease transportation for the community, allowing easy access to the event without the hassle of parking or dealing with traffic congestion. In addition to the shuttle service, a dedicated phone line has been set up to assist locals with any questions or concerns they may have.
